בהרצאה נתמקד בשלושה ספרים מחתרתיים שונים באופיים: "התלת רגליים" (ג'ון כריסטופר), "עריצה היא הלבנה" (רוברט היינליין), ו"נפילת המלאכים" (לארי ניבן). נבחן את ההבדלים בין המחתרות השונות, באופי אופי פעולתן ובדרכים שבהן הן פועלות להשגת מטרותיהן. לבסוף נראה כיצד הן משיגות לבסוף את מטרתן – או נכשלות בכך.
